As Associate Lighting Designer or Lighting Adapter (sometimes also serving as Lighting Programmer), Rob’s current and recent work includes:

Billy Elliot: Adapting and re-creating Rick Fisher's design and deputising for Rick on the last US Tour, the Dutch production, the UK tour, the acclaimed Japanese production in 2017 and 2020, and the 2021 Korean production. Rob will return to Tokyo in summer 2024 for the latest version of this iconic production.[link]

Sanxingui: Working with Rick Fisher on this new musical production, which toured across China during 2024.

Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike: Adapting Justin Townsend’s design for this Broadway play for its transfer to London.

The Man of La Mancha: Working with Rick Fisher on the new production of this classic musical at the London Coliseum.

Consent: Transferring Nina Raine's acclaimed new play from the National Theatre to the Harold Pinter Theatre, working once again with Rick Fisher. [link]

Mata Hari: Working with Rick Fisher on this acclaimed new production in Osaka, Japan.

Grease - The Musical: Adapting Guy Hoare’s design for the Leicester Curve production for a short run in Dubai.

Peter Pan - The Opera: Adapting and re-creating Bruno Poet's design for a run at the Komische Oper in Berlin. [link]

The Winter’s Tale: Adapting Neil Austin’s design for the Live Broadcast to Cinema as part of the Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company season at the Garrick Theatre.

Romeo and Juliet: Adapting Howard Hudson's design for the Live Broadcast to Cinema (in black and white!) as part of the Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company season at the Garrick Theatre. 

Equus: Lighting designer for the 2008 UK tour, adapting David Hersey’s original design to suit a tour that moved weekly. Nominated for the TMA Award for Best Lighting Design.

Mary Poppins: Adapting (with Oliver Fenwick) Howard Harrison’s design for the show’s first UK and US tour.

My Fair Lady: Tour lighting designer (with Oliver Fenwick), adapting David Hersey’s original design for the 2005 UK and 2007 US tours of the Cameron Mackintosh/National Theatre production. Nominated for Best Design in the US touring awards.
